I remember when I was little, my favourite Sunday activity was to play Monopoly with my family. Even though years have passed, I still like the idea of playing Monopoly, and since I have discovered the Monopoly slot game, this has got a little bit nostalgic for me.

The graphics

The 5 reels, 3 lines and 9 paylines game looks slightly different as to what you would expect.  The famous Monopoly logo and Mr. Monopoly will salute you from the upper side of the screen. The symbols are combined from the usual ones, like the Community Chest or Monopoly money, with the more unusual ones, like the strawberry or the grapes.

All in all, the colors are soothing and will make you feel like a child again. There is also a line at the bottom of the screen with tips, tricks and rules of the game, in case you forget them.

The symbols

Before beginning to play the Monopoly slot game, you will have the chance of choosing your piece to play with. The pieces are the ones used in the board game, like the hat, the ship, dog and the others.

The first symbols are the deeds, those towns you wanted to buy every time in the board game. These symbols pay the highest, so you might want to keep an eye on them. The money symbols follow, and there are three types: those that pay 450, 300 and 150 respectively. The last symbol types are the fruits: watermelon, grapes, oranges and strawberries.

Wild symbol – represented by the fantastic Mr. Monopoly, this symbol can get you the 25,000 Jackpot. The trick is to have 5 wild symbols on the payline with a max bet. Like a normal wild symbol, it replaces any other symbol, except for the bonus symbols: the Community Chest and Dice Bonus.

The Community Chest Instant Bonus

For this bonus round you will have to get 3 Instant Bonus symbols, in any position. Next, you will see three prizes from which you will have to pick one. The multiplier you win is used to multiply your winnings.

The Pass GO Bonus

This bonus round offers you the experience of actually playing the board game. In order to trigger it, you need 3 Bonus Dice symbols; the location of the symbols doesn't matter. Three dices will then appear on the screen, and you need to pick one. Inside will be a number from 1 to 6, and the number you'll get represents the number of the rolls you are allowed to do at once. Then the board game appears, and the special rules will apply accordingly.

Number values – these values are found on the Electric Company, Bow Street, Strand, Piccadilly and Mayfair squares. Unlike the board game where the numeric values are the rent to be payed, on the casino game these values will multiply your original bet.

Free Parking – this symbol awards you a cash prize, and the sum will be determined by the Parking Meter.

Chance – you will not have to pick a card and read your luck, but to move, randomly, on another square.

GO – once here, you get your bet doubled. If you land on GO the second time, your bet will be tripled.

Go to Jail – you will find the punishment here very rewarding: once you land on the frightful square, you go to a Jail Bonus. You will then be given dices, and if you manage to get a double within 3 tries, congratulations: you get a multiplier!
